If we based our opinion of a game on a demo then Batman: Arkham Asylum would have been terrible, but it wasn't.
Agreed, it's quite unnecessary.
Warhawk was a fun game, Heavenly Sword was good, Killzone 2 was great, Killzone 3 was disappointing, Resistance 1 & 2 were fantastic, 3 again was a disappointment.
Well, I think you're forgetting that he assisted People Can Fly with Bulletstorm and the PS3 Community rejected it...

Where's the complete innovation? I see abput 3 minor gameplay additions in comparison with (For Example) the tens of new gameplay mechanics and improvements to be found in the three years after its predecessor Gears of War 3...

Too many people are reliant on Metacritic on this site, yet unless a review is posted in positive light to their preferred game, they dismiss it. GOTY is personal opinion. Alpha, have you even played Gears of War 3? And if so have you played online? It's just I vaguely remember you saying you couldn't for some reason get on the beta and I was wondering if you even purchased the game. Gears of War 3 is a HUGE contender for GOTY. It received a multitude of perfect scores and was handed unfortunately to Jim Sterling for the Destructoid review. It currently along with Dark Souls sits as Gamespot's highest reviewed game of the year.

I did, he makes completely valid points. I for one believe the game to look severely dated and believe Nintendo made a mistake by showing the Zelda WiiU Tech Demo at E3 as it's made it only more noticeable. People look at the tech demo and think it looks stunning, and then a nearly last gen game is pitted before us and it looks shameful.
You don't mention the poor shooting mechanics of the game, nor do you mention within your labelling of "10.0" for online and "10.0" for Graphics that the multiplayer features a substantial downgrade from the singleplayer in regards to graphics. It frustrates me that people are so easily blinded by fantastic singleplayer graphics and animations that they cant see the games flaws. Gears of War reinvented the third person shooter, it should have been listed higher than Uncharted and Mass Effect...
My only argument is that if they haven't scored a game higher than a nine, what boundaries are they reviewing a game towards?
Perhaps not, but it's had games recieving higher scores from more reliable reviewers.
Gamespot: Gears of War 3 - 9.5
Uncharted 3 - 9.0
And had 10/10's from more reliable reviewers.
